Trkiye’s External Assets Reach $366.2 Billion in December 2024

Ankara: Trkiye's external assets were reported at $366.2 billion in December, marking a 1.2% increase from the prior quarter, according to the Turkish Central Bank on Thursday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the country's liabilities decreased by 1.3% during the same period, amounting to $660.9 billion. This resulted in a net international investment position of minus $294.7 billion in December, calculated as the difference between assets and liabilities.

Portfolio assets were recorded at $4 billion, reflecting a 6.9% decline from the previous quarter. Meanwhile, direct investments increased by 3.5% to $71.2 billion. Other investments saw a slight decrease of 0.6%, totaling $135.9 billion.
