Trkiye’s Foreign Minister Vows to Keep Spotlight on Genocide in Gaza Amid Regional Tensions

Ankara: Trkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized to the Hamas delegation during a meeting in Ankara that the country will not permit recent regional tensions to overshadow the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

According to Anadolu Agency, Fidan met with Mohammed Ismail Darwish, chairman of the Hamas Leadership Council, and his delegation, as confirmed by Turkish diplomatic sources. The meeting centered around recent developments in ceasefire negotiations and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Fidan stressed that Ankara's primary concern is to halt the massacre in Gaza and ensure the swift delivery of humanitarian aid. He made it clear that Trkiye will not allow the recent tensions in the region to divert attention from the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Reaffirming the unity of Palestine, encompassing Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, Fidan highlighted that Trkiye will persist in its robust support and defense of the Palestinian cause until Palestine achieves freedom.
