Trkiye’s International Reserves Hit Record High of $183B

Ankara: The Turkish Central Bank's official international reserves reached a new all-time high of $183 billion as of Sept. 26, according to official figures released on Thursday. The reserves saw an increase of 2.3%, or $4.1 billion, from the previous week's total of $178.85 billion.

According to Anadolu Agency, foreign currency reserves in convertible foreign currencies increased by 2.1% to $79 billion compared to the previous week. The bank's gold reserves, which include gold deposits and gold-swapped reserves, surged by 2.7% to $96.3 billion during the same period. Meanwhile, the total IMF reserve position and special drawing rights experienced a slight decline of 0.4%, reaching $7.7 billion.
