Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday welcomed Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune with an official ceremony in Ankara. The event marked the beginning of Tebboune's three-day official visit to Trkiye.
According to Anadolu Agency, the welcoming ceremony was attended by several Turkish ministers, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Interior Minister Mustafa Ciftci, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Agriculture and Forest Minister Ibrahim Yumakli, and Trade Minister Omer Bolat. Communications Director Burhanettin Duran and other officials were also present.
Erdogan and Tebboune proceeded to hold a bilateral meeting following the ceremony. They are set to chair the Trkiye-Algeria High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting. After their discussions, both leaders are expected to participate in a signing ceremony for various agreements and conduct a joint press conference.
To honor President Tebboune, Erdogan will host an official dinner and present him with the Order of the State of the Republic of Trkiye.
