Trkiye’s Togg Enters European Market as It Celebrates Third Anniversary

Ankara: Trkiye's electric vehicle (EV) brand Togg is marking its third anniversary since its first vehicle rolled off the assembly line in October 2022, while also launching sales in the European market. Togg represents a significant move towards transforming Trkiye into a global technology and manufacturing hub through electrification and mobility technologies.

According to Anadolu Agency, Togg was founded as a joint venture by Trkiye's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), Anadolu Group, BMC, Zorlu Holding, and Turkcell, following a request from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The initiative aimed to establish Trkiye's presence in the global market, leading to the creation of the country's first indigenous electric vehicle unveiled on December 27, 2019. Following the unveiling, a production plant was established, culminating in the opening of the Togg Technology Campus on October 29, 2022.

Togg's first model, a C-segment SUV, was celebrated as it rolled off the mass production line at the Technology Campus. The brand made its global debut at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, where the homegrown EV was unveiled. In March 2023, Togg announced the pricing of its models and conducted a lottery for pre-order allocation, resulting in a production target increase from 20,000 to 28,000 units due to high demand.

By September 2025, Togg had delivered 73,001 vehicles to buyers. Data from the Automotive Distributors' and Mobility Association (ODMD) indicates that Togg accounted for approximately one in every five EVs sold in Trkiye between 2024 and September 2025. In the previous year, Togg sold 30,093 units out of 99,489 EVs sold in Trkiye, and accounted for 23,325 out of 133,781 EVs sold from January to September this year.

The T10F, Togg's new model, launched on September 15 in Trkiye and September 29 in Germany. It quickly became the second best-selling EV in Trkiye, with 1,197 units sold last month. Togg also entered Brand Finance's list of the 125 most valuable brands in Trkiye, ranking 20th, and improved its position in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's list of the top 500 largest industrial firms.

Togg continues to expand Trkiye's charging network, a critical component for widespread EV adoption. Its subsidiary, Trugo, aims to establish high-speed charging stations nationwide, providing over 2,200 stations and more than 4,500 sockets in all 81 Turkish provinces.

Togg's second model, the T10F, was introduced to the Turkish and German markets last month, alongside the T10X in Germany. Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat reported that 100 Togg vehicles were initially exported to Germany, with projections to reach 1,000 by year's end. The T10F quickly became prominent in Trkiye's EV market, selling 1,194 units in September, following closely behind the T10X with 1,061 units.

The Euro NCAP program awarded both the T10X and T10F the highest five-star rating in safety tests. The T10F can charge from 20% to 80% in 28 minutes using fast charging and is available in five colors representing different areas of Trkiye. Additionally, the T10X 4More and T10F 4More models, featuring advanced specifications and a dual-engine configuration, have been available for purchase on Togg's Trumore digital platform since October 7.
