Washington: US President Donald Trump announced Thursday that the Gaza Strip would be handed over to the US by Israel at the end of the fighting and that 'no soldiers by the US would be needed.'
According to Anadolu Agency, Trump made the announcement on the social media platform Truth Social. He stated that at the end of the fighting, 'Palestinians, people like Chuck Schumer, would have already been resettled in far safer and more beautiful communities, with new and modern homes, in the region.'
Trump proposed a relocation scheme that envisions Palestinians being displaced to Egypt and Jordan. He claimed that this plan would provide Palestinians with 'a chance to be happy, safe, and free.'
He elaborated that the US, in collaboration with global development teams, would begin constructing a significant development in the region. Trump emphasized that this construction would be one of the greatest and most spectacular developments of its kind on Earth.
Trump further asserted that these actions would not require the presence of US soldiers and that the initiative would contribute to regional stability.
