Istanbul: US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday his willingness to travel to Istanbul on Friday to participate in Russian-Ukrainian peace talks, should circumstances deem it appropriate. The discussions are being hosted in the Turkish city, which has become a focal point for diplomatic negotiations.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump made this statement during a meeting with business leaders in Qatar. He expressed his hope for a positive outcome from the ongoing negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of the talks. "If something happened, I'd go Friday (to Istanbul), if it was appropriate," Trump remarked, highlighting the potential for his involvement in the peace process.

In addition to his comments on the Russia-Ukraine situation, Trump also touched upon developments regarding Iran. He stated that the United States is nearing the conclusion of a deal related to Iran's nuclear program. "I think we are getting very close to achieving a deal with Iran," Trump said, indicating progress in diplomatic efforts with the Middle Eastern nation.
