Ankara: US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday his belief that South Africa should be excluded from the G20, and he confirmed he will not attend the upcoming summit in Johannesburg. Trump expressed his views during a speech at the American Business Forum in Miami, stating, "South Africa shouldn't even be in the G's anymore, because what's happened there is bad." He further emphasized his decision by stating, "I'm not going ... I'm not going to represent our country there. It shouldn't be there," referring to the G20 Johannesburg Summit scheduled for November 22-23.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump has voiced accusations against South Africa, alleging that the country is involved in land confiscation and mistreatment of "certain classes of people," describing it as "a massive human rights violation." In April, Trump questioned the rationale of attending the G20 meeting in South Africa, citing land confiscation and genocide as predominant issues. In February, he issued Executive Order 14204, instructing federal agencies to assist in the resettlement of white South African Afrikaners, whom he termed "victims of unjust racial discrimination," and to reduce US aid to South Africa.

The South African government has responded to Trump's allegations by dismissing them as "factually inaccurate" and defending their policies against the claims made by the US President.
