He conveyed these sentiments in an interview with the New York Post, emphasizing that although Iran will not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, achieving this without conflict would be preferable.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump discussed uncertainties in persuading Iran to halt its nuclear ambitions, indicating a loss of confidence in potential diplomatic resolutions. Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts, including five rounds of talks in Muscat and Rome with Oman as a mediator, Trump questioned Iran's enthusiasm for reaching a deal. When questioned about China's potential influence on Tehran's stance, Trump dismissed the idea, suggesting that Iran may not be inclined towards an agreement.

In a separate matter, Trump mentioned the possibility of reconciling with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, although he stated it was not a priority.
