Trump Questions Lack of Clarity on 2024 Assassination Attempts

Washington: US President Donald Trump stated he "doesn't know what to believe" regarding the two assassination attempts against him during his previous year's campaign to return to the Oval Office.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump expressed his confusion in a Fox News interview that aired Wednesday, indicating he has not received clear explanations from either the Secret Service or the FBI. "I don't know what to believe. I'll be honest, it has not been explained to me perfectly by either Secret Service or the FBI," Trump remarked, reflecting on the investigations into these incidents.

He emphasized his desire for transparency, saying, "We have two good people running (those agencies) and I would like to hear the explanation. Even if it's not released to the public, I should be allowed to hear it. And I might very well release it to the public."

The most notable attempt occurred last July when a gunman fired at Trump during a Pennsylvania campaign rally, grazing his ear. The 20-year-old gunman was subsequently shot dead by the Secret Service.
