Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva engaged in a phone call to discuss the bilateral ties between their nations, along with regional and global issues, as reported by Trkiye's Communications Directorate.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing development of Trkiye-Brazil relations, which have been built on a robust foundation over the past two decades. He emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation across various sectors, particularly in investment, trade, and the defense industry, as a means to mutually benefit both countries.

Erdogan further articulated his belief that Trkiye and Brazil can establish a model of economic cooperation aimed at boosting prosperity for their citizens amidst global protectionist tendencies. He also highlighted the significance of the peace-oriented policies pursued by both nations, asserting that such initiatives contribute positively to global peace.
