Ankara: The Turkish and Pakistani foreign ministers engaged in a phone conversation on Wednesday to deliberate over the ongoing US-Iran talks, diplomatic sources in Trkiye revealed. Hakan Fidan of Trkiye and Ishaq Dar of Pakistan assessed the current dynamics of the negotiations, sharing insights on the collaborative efforts by both nations to facilitate an agreement between the involved parties.

According to Anadolu Agency, the second round of US-Iran peace talks, initially scheduled to take place in Islamabad over the weekend, has been postponed. The initial round, conducted in the Pakistani capital on April 11, concluded without yielding an agreement. In an effort to maintain peace, a two-week ceasefire, brokered by Pakistan on April 8, was extended on Tuesday night. This extension aims to provide Iran with the necessary time to propose a new plan to conclusively resolve the conflict that commenced on February 28.
