Turkish and Serbian Presidents Engage in Discussions on Regional and Global Issues

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic engaged in a conversation over the phone on Tuesday, focusing on regional and global issues as well as strengthening bilateral ties.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan emphasized the growing friendship and solidarity between Turkey and Serbia, expressing Turkey's anticipation for a new government to be established in Serbia promptly, ensuring continued peace and stability. The discussion highlighted Turkey's intent to further enhance bilateral relations with Serbia's forthcoming government.

Erdogan mentioned that joint efforts between the two countries, particularly in the defense industry, are expected to yield positive outcomes soon. The Turkish leader also extended his well-wishes to Vucic following the Serbian president's car accident on February 8, wishing him a swift recovery.

During the call, Vucic took the opportunity to congratulate Erdogan on his 71st birthday, further exemplifying the cordial relations between the two leaders.
