Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini on the sidelines of the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit in Ankara. The two leaders discussed bilateral ties, as well as regional and global developments, during their meeting at the Presidential Complex. According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan highlighted the necessity of enhancing efforts to achieve mutual trade and investment goals between Trkiye and Slovakia. He stressed the importance of exploiting cooperation opportunities, particularly in the transport and energy sectors. Erdogan also pointed out that enhancing Europe's defense capabilities should be aligned in a manner that complements NATO. On the regional front, Erdogan stated that Trkiye continues its diplomatic efforts to resolve conflicts involving Iran and Ukraine. He also mentioned Trkiye's commitment to establishing peace and stability in Gaza, aiming to alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis there.
