Turkish and UAE Leaders Discuss Regional Stability and Bilateral Relations

ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in a phone conversation on Monday to address pressing developments in Syria and Palestine, alongside matters concerning bilateral relations and broader regional and global issues.

According to Anadolu Agency, President Erdogan emphasized the necessity of forming a Syrian state characterized by peaceful coexistence among its diverse ethnic and religious communities and achieving national unity. Erdogan further articulated Turkey's stance against recognizing the PKK/YPG groups in Syria as representatives of the Kurdish population. He underscored the importance of preventing Daesh/ISIS from exploiting regional instability and cautioned against Israeli actions that could disrupt progress in Syria.

Erdogan also reiterated Turkey's commitment to efforts aimed at halting the violence in Palestine, emphasizing the urgency of resolving the ongoing conflict. The dialogue between the two leaders reflects a continuing collaboration on critical regional issues, highlighting shared concerns over security and stability in the Middle East.
