Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 10,014.24 points, marking a 0.15% increase or an addition of 14.69 points from the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, on Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index experienced a decline of 0.30%, closing the day at 9,999.55 points. This session saw a daily transaction volume of 100 billion liras, equivalent to approximately $2.81 billion.

In the currency market, the USD/TRY exchange rate was recorded at 35.6520 as of 9.55 a.m. (0655GMT). Meanwhile, the EUR/TRY rate was at 37.1075, and the GBP/TRY was trading at 43.9170.

In the commodities market, the price of one ounce of gold stood at $2,747.10, and Brent crude oil was priced at around $78.30 per barrel.
