Ankara: The Turkish Central Bank's official reserves totaled $155.2 billion as of the end of December, according to official data released Thursday. The reserve assets of the bank saw a decrease from $157.7 billion in the previous month. However, they showed a notable increase from $140.8 billion a year earlier, as reported by the bank's data.

According to Anadolu Agency, foreign currency reserves, which are held in convertible foreign currencies, experienced a 2.2% decline month-on-month, reaching $83.5 billion at the end of the year. Additionally, the bank's gold reserves, which include gold deposits and, if applicable, gold-swapped, decreased by 0.9% to $64.3 billion.
