ISTANBUL: Turkish manufacturing firm Karmod has successfully exported a consignment of plastic silo storage tanks to Morocco, marking another step in its international expansion. The shipment included two 20-ton and three 5-ton polyethylene storage tanks, which were transported to Casablanca in specially designed caged containers. According to Anadolu Agency, the tanks are set to be utilized by one of Morocco's leading cosmetics companies as part of their production processes. Talay Ozturk, the general manager of Karmod's plastics division, highlighted a growing demand for their plastic silo tanks, particularly from European countries and Northwest Africa, including Morocco and Algeria. Within the last three months, Karmod has exported similar products to Switzerland, Malta, and Morocco. Karmod's polyethylene storage tanks are designed to adhere to high standards of food safety, which has contributed to their increasing popularity in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Ozturk noted that the tanks are also gaining traction in the cosmetics industry due to their chemical resistance. He emphasized the advantage of the tanks' plastic construction, which offers rust resistance, a significant benefit over traditional metal silos. The durability and practicality of these tanks make them a preferred choice in various industries, ensuring the preservation of contents without degradation over extended periods.
