Turkish Defense and Aerospace Exports Surge by 39% in First Nine Months

Ankara: Trkiye's defense and aerospace industry's exports from January to September have climbed 39% compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of $6 billion, announced the head of Trkiye's defense industries agency on Thursday.

According to Anadolu Agency, this significant rise is attributed to the strong support and vision of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Haluk Gorgun, head of the Defense Industries Secretariat, highlighted the achievement on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, emphasizing that this growth is not merely a numerical success but a demonstration of Turkish engineering, domestic production, and strategic vision.

In the month of September alone, the defense and aerospace exports reached $574 million. Gorgun pointed out that Trkiye's policies on industrialization and engineering-focused production, coupled with a sustainability approach, ensure the development of reliable systems for both the present and future.

Gorgun also noted that Trkiye's strong ties with international partners and its ability to offer solutions to a vast hinterland bolster its reputation as a reliable global solution partner. This international cooperation and the joint projects developed with allied nations contribute to peace and stability, further enhancing Trkiye's export performance.

He concluded by asserting that efforts will continue to strengthen Trkiye's position in global competition through unique solutions in critical technologies.
