Turkish Defense Firm Aselsan Showcases Naval Defense Capabilities at Euronaval.

Paris: Euronaval 2024, one of the world's premier naval defense trade shows, is providing Aselsan, Trkiye's leading defense company, a crucial platform to showcase its cutting-edge technologies. Speaking to Anadolu, Zekeriyya Sahin, Aselsan's executive vice president, highlighted the firm's naval defense capabilities. According to Anadolu Agency, Sahin stated, "We are here at Euronaval 2024 to introduce our capabilities and increase our relations and cooperation with customers both in Europe and globally." Aselsan is enhancing its naval capabilities, viewing Euronaval as a valuable opportunity to display its advancements and state-of-the-art technologies. The company's showcase includes systems such as Goksur, Gokdeniz, Marlin, and Dufas, which are garnering significant interest from attendees. Notably, Aselsan unveiled the Goksur 100-N, an advanced version of its point defense missile system. The Goksur features a 20-missile capability with a 15-kilometer range, designed to protect ships from surface and a ir threats. It boasts high effectiveness, the ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously, and advanced fire control with AI features for modern anti-ship threat response. Sahin mentioned the Gokdeniz close-in weapon system, capable of intercepting various threats such as surface-to-surface missiles, air-to-surface missiles, and enemy drones and helicopters. The Dufas low-frequency towed active sonar system, another highlight, is designed for surface ships to detect submarines over long distances, with a smaller version integrated into Aselsan's Marlin unmanned surface vehicle. Customers at the event recognize Aselsan's expertise and advancements in naval defense, Sahin noted. The company is expanding its range in radar, electro-optics, underwater acoustics, and air defense systems, aiming to provide comprehensive solutions for its clientele. Aselsan, based in Ankara, Trkiye, consistently participates in leading naval exhibitions worldwide.
