New york: Trkiye's Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yilmaz is set to participate in a three-day High-Level International Conference in New York, focusing on finding a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian issue and implementing the two-state solution.
According to Anadolu Agency, Yilmaz will represent Trkiye at the conference, which is co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia. The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Sunday confirming Yilmaz's participation. The conference has organized eight working groups, each dedicated to a specific theme, with Trkiye co-chairing the group titled 'Preservation of the Two-State Solution' alongside Ireland.
The conference aims to develop concrete, time-bound steps to implement the two-state solution in response to current developments. In addition to attending the main conference, Yilmaz is expected to engage in bilateral meetings and participate in sideline events.
Preparations for the conference included a preliminary meeting held in New York on May 23, where the working group chairs collected views and recommendations from participating UN member states.
