Sarikamis: Turkish prefabricated building manufacturer Karmod has announced the production of modern taxi stand cabins in the Sarikamis district of Trkiye's eastern Kars province. The cabins are part of an initiative by Sarikamis Municipality aimed at renewing local taxi stands and have been delivered ready for operation.
According to Anadolu Agency, Karmod Cabin General Manager Zekai Kucuk explained that the company is focused on designing modern taxi stands across various provinces in Trkiye, providing taxi drivers with comfortable places to rest and wait. The newly installed taxi stand cabins in Sarikamis were specifically produced with insulation suitable for the district's altitude, around 2,000 meters, ensuring warmth during cold winter months.
Kucuk highlighted that each cabin is crafted according to its use and the region's climatic conditions. Karmod offers ready-to-use prefabricated and mobile taxi stand units ranging from 6 to 32 square meters, complete with various options. Some models come equipped with mini kitchens and toilets, and all units are delivered with fully completed electrical and water installations. Climate control features such as air conditioners and electric heaters are also available.
In line with the municipality's renovation project, the cabins, produced under Karmod's Metrocity model, have been installed at three taxi stands in Sarikamis and are now operational, providing enhanced facilities for local taxi drivers.
