Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed the current Gaza ceasefire in a phone call, focusing on steps to maintain peace in the Palestinian territory and ensure continuous humanitarian aid delivery.

According to Anadolu Agency, the conversation also covered the implementation of the Declaration of Intent signed earlier this week in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. This agreement outlines measures to support the ceasefire and facilitate humanitarian efforts in the region.

Beyond the Gaza ceasefire, Fidan and Rubio exchanged views on various international issues, including developments in Syria, ongoing negotiations over Iran's nuclear program, and the situation regarding the Russia-Ukraine war.
