Ankara: Trkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has been actively engaging with his international counterparts, discussing ongoing global crises through a series of phone calls over the past week.
According to Anadolu Agency, Fidan reached out to several foreign ministers, starting with a conversation on July 31 with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan. The discussion focused on the latest developments in the region and concerted efforts to bring an end to ongoing conflicts.
On August 1, Fidan spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Their dialogue centered on the ongoing negotiation processes, with Fidan reaffirming Trkiye's commitment to resolving regional conflicts and establishing lasting peace.
August 3 saw Fidan connecting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad AlSabah, during which they reviewed the recent developments in the region. That same day, Fidan extended his congratulations to Zulfikar Zeynula, the newly appointed state minister and chairman of the Turkish Democratic Party of North Macedonia, wishing him success in his new role.
In a later conversation on August 3, Fidan spoke with the UK's new Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband. Fidan congratulated Miliband on his new position and discussed pressing issues, including the situation in the Middle East, particularly Gaza, the latest updates on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and ongoing efforts aimed at conflict resolution in the region.
