Helsingborg: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday, according to Trkiye's Foreign Ministry. Fidan and Rubio held talks on the sidelines of the NATO Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Helsingborg, Sweden.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry shared a statement on the local social media platform NSosyal about the meeting. In a separate statement, the US State Department revealed that the discussions focused on the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara, scheduled for July 7-8.

Additionally, the officials addressed topics including the importance of increasing defense spending to enhance capabilities and expand defense production. They also discussed efforts aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ensuring regional stability.
