Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi in Ankara on Monday, according to an official statement. The meeting included discussions between key figures from both nations, highlighting the importance of bilateral relations.
According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Turkish National Intelligence Organization Chief Ibrahim Kalin, Jordanian Chief of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti, and head of Intelligence Department Major General Ahmad Husni were present at the meeting. The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed their participation, although no further details were disclosed about the outcomes.
Turkish diplomatic sources indicated that Fidan was expected to discuss cooperation with Jordan in defense, counterterrorism, and the defense industry. The meeting was also seen as an opportunity to express satisfaction with the close collaboration between Turkey and Jordan.
Safadi's visit marks another step in the ongoing diplomatic engagements between the two countries, following his last visit to Turkey on October 15, 2024.
