Ankara: Trkiye's domestically designed and produced long-range air defense system, the Siper missile, has successfully completed its serial production acceptance tests, as announced by the country's defense industry secretary. This marks a significant advancement in Trkiye's air defense capabilities.

According to Anadolu Agency, Haluk Gorgun shared the news on the NeXT Sosyal platform, emphasizing that Siper has further cemented its role in the country's defense inventory with the successful completion of these tests. He highlighted that this development is a critical milestone in Trkiye's layered air defense architecture.

Gorgun noted that the Steel Dome, a national initiative covering low, medium, and high altitudes, is gaining strength. He described Siper as one of the most strategic security measures for the "Sky Homeland," praised for its range, precision, and effectiveness against various targets.

He further stated that the overarching objective is to establish a completely domestic and national air defense network that can effectively counter any threat. Gorgun expressed confidence in achieving this goal through the efforts of engineers, institutional cooperation, and national support.

Gorgun concluded by asserting that the "Sky Homeland" is now more secure, Trkiye is more deterrent, and the future is in safer hands, underscoring the importance of the Siper system within Trkiye's multi-layered Steel Dome air defense initiative, which also includes anti-drone and high-altitude systems.
