Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that he is traveling to Bishkek alongside National Defense Minister Yasar Guler and Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. This follows a meeting of the Strategic Political and Defense Committee of the Mecca Defense Alliance held in Istanbul.
According to Anadolu Agency, Fidan stated that their visit aims to accompany President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit. Fidan emphasized the continuation of consultations initiated in Istanbul as they proceed to Bishkek, with Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar joining them for this significant journey.
Fidan further illustrated the collaborative spirit by sharing a photo on the social media platform X, showing him with Guler and Dar aboard their flight. The meeting in Istanbul earlier involved the foreign and defense ministers and chiefs of general staff from Trkiye, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, conducted under the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement's Strategic Political and Defense Committee format.
