Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the government's "Terror-Free Trkiye" initiative is advancing successfully and expressed optimism about its future progress as a new legal package is set to be introduced in parliament. Addressing members of his ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party in Istanbul, Erdogan emphasized the widespread public support for resolving the nation's longstanding terrorism issues.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan highlighted that the initiative has reached its current stage without any hindrances. He explained that terrorism has been a significant burden for Trkiye, costing the nation over $2.3 trillion in the past 40 years. The government aims to permanently resolve this issue with the backing of parliament.

Erdogan confirmed that preparations for the new legal package are complete, and he is hopeful that the legislation, once presented to the Turkish parliament, will expedite the process. He acknowledged potential challenges, such as provocations and misinformation, but assured the public of the government's commitment to proceed with "common sense, patience, and determination."

Erdogan concluded by stating the ultimate goal of the initiative is to eliminate terrorism and foster an environment of unity, brotherhood, and lasting peace in Trkiye, preparing the country for a brighter future.
