Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday spoke with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham in a phone call, during which they discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.
According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan congratulated Burnham on his new post and expressed optimism about elevating the relations between Trkiye and the UK in the days ahead. The Turkish Communications Directorate reported that Erdogan emphasized the significant progress made in cooperation, especially in the defense industry.
Erdogan highlighted the importance of the Strategic Partnership Framework Document and the Security and Defense Partnership Document signed by the two nations. He noted that these agreements are pivotal in enhancing collaboration between Trkiye and the UK.
The Turkish leader also stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts to boost bilateral trade and achieve their investment goals, expressing a positive outlook on the future collaboration between the two countries.
