Turkish President Erdogan Hails New Bill as Key Step to ‘Permanently’ End Threat of Terrorism

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday said a new legislative proposal aimed at strengthening national solidarity and social cohesion marks a significant step in Trkiye's efforts to permanently eliminate the threat of terrorism.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan announced that the Bill on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion was submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Trkiye. The proposal emerged from extensive consultations and reflects a broad consensus that underscores the nation's determination to achieve a lasting resolution to the issue of terrorism.

In a social media post following the submission of the bill, Erdogan expressed hope that the new measures would permanently free Trkiye from the threat of terrorism. He emphasized that the legislation is designed to reinforce national unity and solidarity, while also strengthening the climate of peace and stability both within the country and across the region.

Erdogan extended his gratitude to the political parties, parliamentary groups, and lawmakers who contributed to the preparation and finalization of the proposed legislation, highlighting the collaborative effort involved in its development.
