Turkish President Erdogan Hails Pakistan’s Support for Palestine

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday lauded Pakistan's position on the Palestinian issue, emphasizing that Pakistan is among the countries that have reacted "most strongly" to the situation in Gaza. Erdogan made these remarks during a joint news conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Ankara.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan expressed appreciation for Pakistan's consistent support for the Palestinian cause, highlighting its active role on various platforms, including the United Nations. The Turkish President reiterated the commitment of both Turkey and Pakistan to continue their collaborative efforts in support of Palestine.

Erdogan stated that the two nations remain dedicated to working towards the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. He emphasized the importance of the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital, and maintaining the territorial integrity of Palestine.
