Turkish President Erdogan to Attend ECO Summit in Azerbaijan

Khankendi: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to participate in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Khankendi, Azerbaijan. The summit will be held on Friday, as announced by Trkiye's communications director.

According to Anadolu Agency, the summit will convene under the theme 'New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate Resilient Future.' It aims to gather leaders from member states to engage in discussions surrounding regional cooperation, with particular emphasis on climate change, trade, transportation networks, and institutional reform. Fahrettin Altun, speaking on X, highlighted these focal areas.

Erdogan is anticipated to deliver a speech at the event and engage in bilateral discussions with other state and government leaders, as noted by Altun. The summit will also feature attendance from observer states, including the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), alongside representatives from various international organizations, according to the Turkish official.
