Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday received Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, the speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq. The meeting took place at the Justice and Development (AK) Party headquarters and was not open to the press.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan and Mashhadani were joined by Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus. The discussions were held behind closed doors, and specific details of the meeting have not been disclosed to the public.
