Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Trkiye is committed to strengthening its relations with African countries, focusing on equal partnerships, mutual respect, and win-win principles. This statement was made during a joint press conference with Niger's President, Abdourahamane Tchiani, after their discussions at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan emphasized Ankara's dedication to enhancing cooperation across the African continent. He stated, "We continue to develop our relations with African countries on the basis of equal partnerships, mutual respect, and win-win principles." This approach underscores Trkiye's intent to build and maintain robust diplomatic and economic ties with African nations.

Additionally, the Turkish leader expressed support for African nations facing security challenges, particularly in the Sahel region, which borders the Sahara Desert. "We stand by our friendly and brotherly countries in the fight against terrorist groups that sow instability, especially in the Sahel region of the continent," Erdogan remarked. This commitment highlights Trkiye's readiness to assist African countries in addressing critical security issues.

Niger's President Tchiani visited Ankara for discussions with Erdogan on bilateral ties and regional matters, marking another step in the deepening relationship between Trkiye and African nations.
