Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday received the newly appointed ambassadors to Ankara from Thailand, Sweden, Azerbaijan, the UK, and Canada at the presidential complex in the capital.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ambassadors presented their credentials to President Erdogan. Thailand's Ambassador Chaturont Chaiyakam, Swedish Ambassador Ulrika Funered, Azerbaijan's Ambassador Rashad Aslanov, British Ambassador Jennifer Elizabeth Anderson, and Canadian Ambassador Marcel Lebleu were among those who participated in the ceremony.

The ambassadors also took the opportunity to introduce prominent members of their diplomatic missions and family members. This was followed by posing for commemorative photos with President Erdogan, marking the start of their respective tenures in Turkey.

Following the formal presentation, President Erdogan held separate meetings with each ambassador, fostering diplomatic relations and discussing potential areas of collaboration between Turkey and the respective nations they represent.
