Turkish Stock Exchange Begins Tuesday Up

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 9,972.96 points, registering an increase of 0.25% or 24.45 points from the previous close. This rise follows a significant gain observed on Monday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 experienced its largest daily gain in two years on Monday, climbing 5.78% to reach 9,948.51 points. The day's trading activity saw a transaction volume amounting to 165 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $4.15 billion.

As of 10:25 am local time (0725GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 39.8540 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 46.9980 to the euro, and 54.8685 to the British pound. In the commodities market, an ounce of gold was priced at $3,336.20, while Brent crude oil traded at $66.70 per barrel.
