Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 9,477.14 points, marking an increase of 0.74% from the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which began the day at 9,553.24, managed to gain 69.97 points from Monday's close.
According to Anadolu Agency, the index's lowest point for the day was 9,412.10, while it reached a daily high of 9,553.24. Out of the total indexes, 71 saw gains in value, whereas 27 ended the day with losses.
The total transaction volume for the day amounted to 90.4 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.37 billion, while the overall value of the index was 8.63 trillion liras, approximately $227.7 billion. Meanwhile, the exchange rates stood at 38.0085 for USD/TRY, 41.5210 for EUR/TRY, and 48.4710 for GBP/TRY.
Additionally, the price of gold was reported at $3,008.90 per ounce, and the barrel price of Brent oil was $63.95.
