Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9,079.84 points, marking a rise of 0.53% or 48.02 points from the previous close. This increase comes after a decline observed in the previous trading session. According to Anadolu Agency, on Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index experienced a loss of 2.18%, closing at 9,031.82 points. The daily transaction volume for that day was 84 billion liras, equivalent to approximately $2.43 billion. In the currency market, the USD/TRY exchange rate was recorded at 34.5064 as of 9.55 a.m. (0655GMT). Meanwhile, the EUR/TRY rate was at 36.3862, and the GBP/TRY traded at 43.6597.
