ANKARA: Trkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Thursday at 10,030.51 points, rising 0.46% or 45.58 points from the previous close. On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index lost 0.37% to 9,984.93 points, with a daily transaction volume of 74.5 billion liras ($2.20 billion). As of 09.54 a.m. (0654GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.0050, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.7007, while the GBP/TRY rate was 44.7000 The price of one ounce of gold was $2,534.35, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $73.01 per barrel.
