Ankara: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index kicked off Thursday trading at 13,502.29, marking an increase of 0.71%, or 94.85 points.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index had surged 2.29% the previous day, closing at a record high of 13,407.44 points, with a robust daily transaction volume of 240.8 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $5.54 billion.

At 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates were noted at 43.4240 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 52.1530 to the euro, and 60.2225 to the British pound. Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $5,569.80, and Brent crude oil was trading at $68.25 per barrel.
