Turkish Stock Exchange Opens Higher on Tuesday

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened Tuesday at 10,637.42 points, marking an increase of 0.2%, or 21.24 points, from the previous day's closing.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had a strong performance on Monday, soaring 2.41% to reach 10,616.18 points. The day concluded with a significant daily transaction volume of 115 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.85 billion.

As of 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), the Turkish lira's exchange rates were recorded at 40.4190 against the US dollar, 47.2830 against the euro, and 54.4950 against the British pound. In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold was $3,384.75, and Brent crude oil was trading at $68.20 per barrel.
