Istanbul: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index began Friday’s trading session at 13,809.39 points, marking a decrease of 0.16% or 21.71 points from the previous day’s close.

According to Anadolu Agency, on Thursday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 saw a significant rise of 3.16%, closing at a new record high of 13,831.09 points, with an unprecedented trading volume of 302.5 billion liras, equivalent to $6.96 billion.

As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates for the US dollar, euro, and British pound against the Turkish lira were noted at 43.5005, 51.8820, and 59.8355, respectively. Additionally, the price of one ounce of gold was recorded at $5,135.55, while Brent oil was priced at approximately $68.30 per barrel.
