Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul, opened Wednesday at 9,730.98 points, marking an increase of 0.98% or 94.86 points from its previous close. According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index had experienced a decline on Tuesday, dropping 0.25% to settle at 9,636.12 points, with a daily transaction volume of 91 billion liras, equivalent to approximately $2.63 billion. The foreign exchange market saw the USD/TRY exchange rate at 34.6610 as of 09.57 a.m. (0657GMT), while the EUR/TRY and GBP/TRY rates were recorded at 36.3242 and 43.5790, respectively. Additionally, commodity prices showed the cost of one ounce of gold at $2,672.01, and Brent crude oil was priced around $72.48 per barrel, reflecting the ongoing trends in the global markets.
