Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, began trading on Wednesday at 10,210.76 points, marking a decrease of 0.14% or 14.72 points from the last session's closing.
According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had closed on Monday at 10,225.48 points, experiencing a drop of 1.28% that day, with a transaction volume reaching 88.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.2 billion). The stock exchange remained closed on Tuesday due to the observance of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
At 10:00 am local time (0700GMT), the exchange rates showed the Turkish lira trading at 40.2490 against the US dollar, 46.8390 against the euro, and 54.0075 against the British pound. In commodities, gold was priced at $3,338.90 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was trading at $68.30 per barrel.
