Turkish Stock Exchange Opens Slightly Higher on Thursday

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9,276.21 points, marking an increase of 0.11% or 10.12 points from the previous close. According to Anadolu Agency, on Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index experienced a decline of 1.36%, closing at 9,266.09 points, with a daily transaction volume reaching 90.7 billion Turkish liras, approximately $2.37 billion. As of 10 am (0700GMT), the price of gold per ounce was $3,328.60. This follows an all-time high of $3,357.81, as investors sought the "safe haven" asset amidst global uncertainties and concerns over tariff issues. The currency exchange rates stood at USD/TRY 38.1375, EUR/TRY 43.6260, and GBP/TRY 50.4505. Brent crude oil was priced at approximately $65.55 per barrel.
