Turkish Stock Exchange Opens Thursday with Slight Gains

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened Thursday at 11,223.74 points, marking a marginal rise of 0.03%, or 3.52 points, from its previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the previous day saw the BIST 100 climb by 1.89% to reach 11,220.22 points, with a daily transaction volume recorded at 162.6 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $3.91 billion.

At 9.50 am local time (0650GMT) on Thursday, the currency exchange rates positioned the Turkish lira at 41.6025 against the US dollar, 48.9225 against the euro, and 56.1935 against the British pound.

In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold was registered at $3,869.50, while Brent crude oil was trading at $65.35 per barrel.
