Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened Monday at 9,343.14 points, marking an increase of 0.28% or 25.90 points from the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, on Friday, the BIST 100 experienced a decline of 0.84%, closing at 9,317.24 points with a daily transaction volume of 79.8 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.09 billion.

As of 9.55 am local time (0655GMT), the exchange rates for the US dollar, euro, and British pound against the Turkish lira stood at 38.1755, 44.0145, and 50.4395 respectively. The price for one ounce of gold was reported at $3,391.95, while the barrel price of Brent oil was approximately $66.20.
