Turkish Stock Exchange Opens Week Steady with Minor Gain

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index began the week with a slight increase, opening at 10,358.61 points on Monday. This represents a modest rise of 0.14 points from the previous closing figure.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index had concluded last Friday with a 0.26% increase, closing at 10,358.46 points. The trading day saw a transaction volume of 114 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.83 billion.

As of 10.25 am local time (0725GMT), the exchange rates were noted as 40.2070 Turkish liras per US dollar, 46.9500 per euro, and 54.1520 per British pound. Meanwhile, the price for an ounce of gold stood at $3,369.90, and Brent crude oil was trading at $69.95 per barrel.
