Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 14,109.21 points, marking a slight increase of 0.03%, or 3.77 points, from the previous closing figure. According to Anadolu Agency, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 experienced a decline of 0.60% on Thursday, closing at 14,105.44 points. This closure was accompanied by a trading volume of 188 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $3.23 billion. By 10.10 am local time (0710GMT) on Friday, the exchange rates reflected the US dollar at 46.9855 Turkish liras, the euro at 53.7830 Turkish liras, and the British pound at 63.1325 Turkish liras. In the commodities market, the price of one ounce of gold was recorded at $4,110.15, while Brent crude futures were trading at approximately $72 per barrel.
